In Merida, Spain, in front of the ruins of a Roman Theatre.

Dinner with church friends and the missionaries, both from Utah.
Dinner with friends from the time my parents first moved to Portugal, 30-some years ago. Nevermind Trevor holding the bottle of wine like it's his baby...

Childhood friends, the sisters Claudia, Sofia and Ana Rute.

They were telling dirty jokes during the ENTIRE trip, over 2 hours each way, and it was a RELIGIOUS outting, people!! VERY funny indeed!
Fatima is a Catholic saint who the Catholics believe appeared to three children in that Portuguese city years and years ago. That's why the city now has her name.

From Fatima we went to the "Grutas de Mira d'Aire", some very deep caves.
I can't remember how deep into the ground it is, but we made it down, step by step, after over 30 minutes. They had an exposition of stones from all over the world at the bottom of the cave.

Me and my grandma inside the church area.

Back to Evora, this is Trevor with my mom and grandma right in the heart of the town. So pretty!
With my mom and grandma. Aren't they pretty and cute??? :)
Okay this is random, but that's the public bathroom at a park we went to in Evora. And yes, I had to use it. All that yoga finally pays off...
A friend of ours cooked us a RABBIT! I've had it before and had liked it, but this time... I didn't love it. Can you see its teeth??
Also random but funny, Trevor falls asleep whenever he sits on the passanger seat. Does it mean he feels safe when I drive? I hope so! :)
My preggo belly decided to pop out. It's really not as big now as it was on that day. Whattheheck?!?!?!
Modeling a dress my aunt sent me from Brazil. I feel HUGE in it!!
We went on walks almost every night and ended up at this playground. We named it "our spot" and we had to take a picture to remind ourselves how fun and romantic it was to go there :)
Weird pic of the family: My mom, Trevor, Grandma, me, my brother Cyer and my nephew.
Playing with my nephew. I am SO in love with him!!!

And my mom playing with my nephew. Isn't he cute???
I miss them!
These two weeks were perfect and too short. Probably because of the preggo hormones I cried more than I wanted to when I came back - I started crying two days before the trip and still can't think I am not there.
I am fully aware that I would NOT be happy living in Portugal, I AM happy living here, it was my choice and I wouldn't change that if I could... but it doesn't make it easier to only have 2 weeks per year, if that, to be with my family.
I miss them.
Hope you liked the pics :)
hugs,
Kika*

NICE--but you needed to post more pics of Cyer :) hehe
What an awesome trip! Sounds like you guys had a blast! Enjoy them before baby comes, cuz they're not the same after! (but not in a bad way, don't worry!) :)
