I Am Grateful For - Days 24-26

I Am Grateful For - Day 26
Thanksgiving!
It's tomorrow and I can't wait!!!

Have you counted your blessings today?? :)

I Am Grateful for - Day 25
Naps!
Now that I get home a little earlier each day I have been taking short naps. I used to wake up feeling kinda sick everytime I took naps, even way before being preggo, but now I wake up feeling rested! My back is acting out again, so I am going to the chiropractor today. I think my job doesn't help, lifting and carrying things around, sweeping floors, etc. It's not awful but I do notice that when I am more active at work my back hurts more. Oh well, what can I do? Suck it up, I guess :)

I Am Grateful for - Day 24
Pregnancy Check-Ups
I had my monthly check up this Monday; I am 25 weeks and have gained 11 lbs (but 2 of those were the shoes I was wearing, right? hee hee). Doctor measured my tummy and said "right on the spot" -- whatever that means! We listened to the heartbeat and that's one of my favorite parts, it sounds so cool!! There are days that she moves a LOT and there are days that she is quiet, kinda making me think it's still a dream that I am pregnant. But it isn't, her heart was beating so cutely and she has been very active lately. She's gonna be a samba dancer like her mama :)

Oh, Doctor also gave me the orange juice thing for the diabetes test, which I will do on Dec 22. I asked him if it was yummie and he said "Well, it's no fanta orange, I'll tell you that!" he he he It's the WAY he says things, so funny!!

So, that's it for baby news! We haven't really agreed on a name yet. Most names I like are the ones that would be also easily pronnounced in Portuguese but Trevor doesn't love them. Then the ones he likes I think sound like stripper names and, thanks but no thanks!

So, here is today's question: how long did it take you, moms and dads, to agree on names for your kids?

I haven't named any kids yet, but my aunt and uncle took all of their kids home from the hospital without names, took them about a week on average after they kid was born.

And I had a bishop who couldn't decide on a name for his daughter for several weeks after she was born.

Que post lindo! Fico muito feliz por vc. Por falar em nome de filhos, um amigo nosso registrou o filho que acabou de nascer de Nigel. Era Nigel or Jackson Apollo. Tadinho!

Entao, vc quer combinar um encontro em Dezembro perto da praca do templo? Se vc souber de mais pessoas que estiverem a fim de participar seria legal tambem.

Beijao pra vc e Happy Thanksgiving!

It kind of is like Fanta, only with too much sugar and not enough carbonation. It's not too bad, but not real good.
The naming advice my inlaws had (but didn't work for us) was to each write a list of names you like. If there are any names on both of your list, voila! That didn't work for us, because we never had the same name on our lists.
I think Zach didn't get his name until about 3 days before his scheduled c-section.

We didn't decide on Aubrey's name until two days after she was born. We talked about it during my entire pregnancy and never settled on anything until we finally saw her. You may think you know what you want to name your baby now, but just remember that she could come out looking like something different!!!

My husband chose our baby's name...we wanted to make sure it was a name that would transition from childhood to adulthood easily:)
