Missing...

Menininho,
Feliz Dia dos Pais!
Eu te amo, tanto, e para sempre!
-- sua menininha
I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
And pass your door
But you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
Now you've disappeared somewhere
Like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you-
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Could you be there
You always were two steps ahead of everyone
We'd walk behind while you would run
I look up by your house
And I can almost hear you shout down to me
Where I always used to be
And I miss you-
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Back on the train
I ask Why did I come again?
Can I confess
I've been hanging'round your old address?
And the years have proved
To offer nothing since you moved
You're long gone
But I can't move on
And I miss you-
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
I miss you

God Bless America

My home, sweet home

I love Brazil, I miss my family and friends there, the fruits, the seafood, the smell of the ocean, the nice warm yet breezy weather year-round and so much more I can't even begin to describe.

But I love the USA too! I love Provo, UT and I love feeling safe here, feeling that I have oportunities for growth and that my family does too. It's great to know that when we work hard towards a dream, it can come true. It was a dream of mine to move to the USA and I am grateful I was blessed with this opportunity.

I love being here and I love this cute litte American citzen of mine:

Freedom Festival

We went on a walk on downtown Provo yesterday. So much fun! Olivia simply LOVES the stroller and being able to look around. It seems like she's feasting on the images, the people, the smells, the sounds... it's awesome to look at her eyes wide open experiencing the world.
This cute baby is three months old already... can you believe that???
Here are some pics:

So how is YOUR Fourth of July weekend going to be?

Memorial Day!
It was very relaxing with a bbq at Jordan's parents.

Fire Works...

There is a hill behind UCCU where we can see the big screen and the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire and we did that last year with some friends. Today we took Trevor'm mother and siblings and some of the family friends and we could watch the entire show, from the big screen. It was cool. Here is a pic of us during the [massive] fireworks.

We walked back. And we live on 100 South. It would have been perfect except that I was wearing sandals and now my feet are kinda sore. I just got a feet rub from the hubby.

Ah freedom.... :)

America the Beautiful!

O beautiful, for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

O beautiful, for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw;
Confirm thy soul in self control, thy liberty in law!

O beautiful, for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
'Til all success be nobleness, and ev'ry gain divine!

O beautiful, for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years,
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea!

Happy Fourth! :)

Happy Easter!

I was wondering why people around me were getting so frantic this week, talking about Easter preps and all. I thought "Relax, people, we still have another month to go!"

But it seems that we DON'T have another month to do, Easter IS this weekend and, hello, it threw me off guard. Not that I have much to prepare: no kids and diet. Great combination. No chocolate yumminess for me this year! But it's all good, right? It's all worth it :)

My boss sent me this link that kinda explain why Easter is when it is. It's interesting, hope you'll have some time to click on it and read: http://www.wsbt.com/news/goodquestion/15280241.html

And I wish all of you, family, friends, and bloggers,

FELIZ PÁSCOA! ***** HAPPY EASTER!
