So as most of you know I was invited by TNI to translate their regional leadership conference, which this year took place in Orlando, Florida. The employees and attendees stayed in one of those three resorts: Coronago Springs, Animal Kindgom or Caribean Beach. I stayed at the Coronado Springs which is where the entire conference took place.
\
I arrived there on Wednesday Feb 13 and loved it already: the weather, the air, the different scenary... so pretty!
Then on Thursday we were supposed to help set up the store and the conference room but they didn't need our help so we pretty much just hung out and took pictures around the resort. Here am I loving life on a hammick (spelling?)! :)
That night, the company rented part of the Animal Kingdom Park just for us and it was SO MUCH FUN! I went on two of the biggest rides: Dino-Saur and Expedition Everest. The Everest one was super duper cool, rollercoaster type and I went on it just seven times! You see, we had no lines and no waiting, so we would just go over and over again, it was AWESOME! Outside the Everest place there was a dj playing hiphop and latin songs. Yes, I danced my shoes off too! When I got to the hotel around 1:30am I had FIVE blisters on my feet, but it was so worth it! (I was wearing boots, hence the damage...)
On Friday the "work" began and I pretty much stayed in my translating booth from 8:30am until 5:30pm, with one hour lunch break.

I had forgotten that I was going to need my voice on the previous night so I screamed way too much during the rides and suffered a little to keep my vocal chords going on Friday. But it worked out fine. There were 36 Brazilians in the event and they said I did a good job. I never thought that simultaneous translation was going to be easy but it was for me (this is the second event I translate for the company).
Here I am with my friends Lizzy (manager of the beauty products) Allie (vice president's assistant), Camille (assistant manager of the weght loss products) and MafiLe'O (assistant manager for sales, US district.) I know, I am full of "influencial" friends, hehehehe
That night I was free at about 10pm but I was so tired that I just had dinner with some friends and went to bed! I TRIED to sleep but my roomate snored her nose away and, call me drama queen, I couldn't sleep AT ALL. I am super sensitive to sounds especially when I am sleeping (or trying to.)
Saturday was another translation day but we were done at 4pm with the general sessions, and then there were workshops from 6pm- 9pm but there were no Brazilians around, I just hung out with my girls and helped them get their stuff packed.
That night the company rented the Hollywood Studios part just for us again! It was A BLAST because this time ALL the rides and ALL the restaurants and snacks places were open and it was all FREE! I know, my job "sucks" hahahaha
Here I am with Mickey and Minnie (she didn't like me too much) and Donald Duck and his girl, don't know her name, he he he
Needless to say, this was another awesome evening! We went on two rides: Tower of Terror and Aerosmith Rockin-Roller-Coaster or something like that.
The tower of terror is FREAKIN AWESOME! It's an elevator where we sit and it goes up this tower and into what they call "the twilight zone", it stops at times and these weird lights come out and you feel kind of dishoriented and then all of a sudden IT DROPS!! My purse that was on my lap flew up and touched my nose, it was so unexpected and that made it even better!!
This is a picture of our picture during the rockin roaller coaster, which is supposed to be a limo that takes us to Aerosmith's concert, it's all in the dark and it is also super exciting because, due to the darkness and those crazy street signs that seem to hit our head when we pass by them, we don't know what's going to happen next. It was too brief though so we went three times on this one. Oh, the car DID go from 0 to 60 miles/hour in TWO seconds.... YEAH! (I'm on the top left)
To close the evening we watched a perfomance of the Disney show THE FANTASMIC, which is a mix of all the Disney characters and movies ever made. It was SO AWESOME! I filmed most of it, and I wasn't even a Disney fan until this trip but the Fantasmic show touched me. I can see why children love those characters so much!
Sunday I had to check out of the hotel at 11am but my flight was at 6pm, so I checked my suitcase at the hotel and went to Downtown Disney, where you can find the BIGGEST Disney store in the WORLD - or so they say. That place is awesome BUT it is overwhelming and frustrating when you think about all the stuff you want to take home and you CAN'T! Well, at least I can't! So I just walked around and took pictures.
Our flight delayed almost 5 hours because we had a layover in Atlanta and there was a tornado watch in the area. I rather wait DAYS than be caught in a tornado so it was fine with me. Finally we got to Provo at almost 5am and I spent the entire Monday cuddling with Trevor and watching tv.

Buzz Lightyear tryed

This is a picture of the Coronado Springs at night. PERFECT!
Me and my friend Ashley (who speaks Russian) having THE BEST Piña Colada smoothie EVER!
And finally, me on Saturday morning going to breakfast and work. I just thought the sunrise there was so beaufitul, I HAD to take a picture!
Sorry this was so long! I tried to keep it simple but I couldn't, there was so much to share! :)
Life is good!

I am SOOOOOOO jealous!! I bet Trevor was jealous, too. You'll have to go back on day together. Maybe with a few nino's in tow. I love the picture of you in the scary ride. Your face says it all--
Love you!
Nikki
