On January 30th 2008 my first nephew was born in Lisbon, Portugal! Here is the translation of the text message that my mom sent me in the middle of the night:"Afonso was born! Beautiful eyes, perfect lips and teeth. Well I didn't quite see the teeth but I bet they are perfect! Smooth skin, strong and muscley arms. Smart and talkative. He does look like his mom, beautiful, strong. PS 6lbs 4oz and 20 inches at 4:15am on Jan 30. Mom!"
OH MY GOSH!!! Is it fair to say that my heart was about to BURST out of my chest and all I wanted to do was run and yell: MY NEPHEW!! MY NEPHEW WAS BORN!!! I really wonder if I am normal because I have NEVER felt like this in my life! Such a new feeling, a new kind of LOVE!
It took a few days until I finally got pictures, and when I did see him for the first time... gosh, I don't understand how can I love someone this much! He is just the most precious little thing in the world to me and I can't wait to have him in my arms! I mean, he does look like an alien in some pictures but that aside, he is SO FREAKIN CUTE!! Look at this yawn::::::
I mean, look at him, isn't he just THE cutest lovable huggable and biteable baby YOU have ever seen? Look at that nose!! I want to bite it!!! and his hands, they are big for a baby, but look how tiny they are still! I know, I am confusing, I wonder if I am normal, I mean...
I love him so! :)
As for me, life is going good! I am travelling to Orlando, FL on Wednesday for work. It's TNI's big national convention and I am going to translate for some Brazilian distributors who insisted in coming. It will be fun! Part of Disney World will be closed for us so I am SO excited, it's my first time there!

Oh, he is too gorgeous for words! It ALMOST makes me want another...(Don't tell McKay I said that!) And I think it's so cute how daddy is just snuggling up to him in the pictures. How blessed you are!
