Inspiration

Got an email from my Relief Society today and it had this quote:

“The gospel is a thing of joy. It provides us with a reason for gladness. Of course there are times of sorrow. Of course there are hours of concern and anxiety. We all worry. But the Lord has told us to lift our hearts and rejoice. I see so many people … who seem never to see the sunshine, but who constantly walk with storms under cloudy skies. Cultivate an attitude of happiness. Cultivate a spirit of optimism. Walk with faith, rejoicing in the beauties of nature, in the goodness of those you love, in the testimony which you carry in your heart concerning things divine…I am asking that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight”

Isn't this quote just awesome?? Just what I needed. Thank you, sisters! I keep reading it over and over and over again. I need this quote to become part of my being, right.now.

I have a testimony of this Gospel and that "men are that they have joy." I do have many reasons to rejoice and will continue to count my blessings each day! :)

A Walk to Remember :)

On Sunday we went on a drive up the canyons to show Sundance and Provo Canyon to the parents of Ismael, our friend who is going on a LDS mission very soon. His family is from Spain and his dad came to visit Utah and say farewell to his son before he enters the MTC.

He wasn't able to go in the MTC today as planned due to an illness. Please pray for Ismael, that he will be healed and will be able to go in the MTC soon to prepare to serve the Lord for the next 24 months! He is so excited! And so are we, his friends. We love you, Isma!

Trevor's Mission Reunion

It was yesterday, Friday, at a chapel in Provo.
His mission president and wife live in Arizona but came up for conference and invited the missionaries to visit. It was a nice event.
Here is my lame collage, in Portuguese... (someone please teach me how to photoshop!)

On the top left, Trevor's companion and best friend Jordan and his wife Lindsey, me, Trevor, and elder Chavez and his wife.
The second picture has Trevor, Jordan and two other missionaries from the Vera Cruz Mexico mission.
The last picture has his mission president and wife and Trevor and me. Please note that those boobs are not all mine, they are victoria's secret's! Kuddos for their new bio-something bra. I love it, it loves me, it's PERFECT! :)

Watching conference this morning feeling guilty about eating bread last night. Jordan and Lindsey and us went to Carrabas for dinner after the reunion. Have you been there? Could you resist their warm bread dipped i olive oil and herbs? Yeah, neither could I! *sigh* Trevor kept telling me "just splurge, it's ok". No, it's not okay, cuz Kika can't eat just one slice, no, no no, Kika eats almost the HOLE LOAF!!! So, yah, splurge is what I did. Blah!

So... I am going to watch the second session at the gym, running, burning the 458304875 thousand calories from that bread. Humph!
